HDD ??? SSD or NOT???

Hello everyone.

I am an event videographer and Running on Adobe CS5.5 as of now, I need your best humble opinion here so here it goes.

I read about SSD and have also read (Harm Millaard) post from almost a year ago, which did not say much good about SSD performance, but I also got the impresion that there was a SAVE $$$ and stick with current HDD for cheap, and to be honest I rather pay for real perfomance if I can and not go cheap and miss some of the advantages, so with that in mind, please let me know your thoughts here:

current system specs:

Graphic Card:
Nvidia Quadro FX 4800 VCQFX4800

CASE:
COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced RC-932-KKN5-GP Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0

Board:
EVGA X58 FTW3 132-GT-E768-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

RAM:
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 24GB (6 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

CPU:
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core

Cooler:
COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler Intel Core i7 compatible

HDD: 3 x Velocity Raptors 300GB-  ???????

Display:
2 x 22″ Gateway Wide screen max resolution at 1650- ???????

So my last two I need to upgrade, so my questions are.

1) Is it a good idea to now move into solid state drives ( Thinking 160GB for system OS and APP, and two 460GB for footage and previews. Yes I need that much space.

2) my two Gateway monitors are almost dying and really need to replace them, what is a good monitor that I can get for around $200 – $300, I do not plan to spend more than that in display right now and yes I know I said I  don’t want to go cheap but neither I want to pretend I have  5K to spend right now.

Thanks in advance
