Muted red audio track?

Hello.

I was working on this project last night and audio was working perfectly. Today I’ve re-opened the project and found out that all audio sub-clips are red and no audio is played for those sub-clips:

I’ve tried right-clicking everywhere but I’m unable to find a way to get audio back on those clips.

Also, if I add a new video-audio clip to the sequence, the audio is there, is only the ones I had already added those that won’t play. It wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t had like 40 of those small clips

I’m a Premiere Pro noobie, so I’m not sure what I did wrong and how to fix it.

Please help

CS6: black or shows ‘media pending’

This is a project specific problem:

The video screen remains black or shows ‘media pending’. But no HD is at work to find the media.

The audio does play, however, the plot is not visible as can be seen in the provided screenshot.

The program freezes when closing this project.

Project info:

– I am working with VOB (DVD) files.

– The project contains cuts of over 124 hours of DVD video and additional 5.1 audio exports that are linked to the videos again.

– The project files are on an external USB 3 disk.

– ‘Save cache files next to originals’ is enabled to not eat up internal disk space. When switching to CS6 I deleted all cache files and let Premiere recreate them.

System:

CS6, Windows 7 64bit, 16GB RAM.

Plenty of RAM free when the project is opened. Intel i7 CPU is around 12% continuesly.

I would really like to finish this project that I started in CS5…

How to burn a DVD directly from Adobe Premiere Pro CS5

On older versions of Adobe Premiere Pro you could hit File, Export, Export to DVD and it would burn the sequence to a DVD. There was no menu, it just started when you inserted the disk into the DVD player. Now on CS5, there is no Export to DVD option that I could find. I have searched the internet and could only find instructions on how to export to Encore and then burn a DVD. Does anyone know of a way to burn a DVD directly from Premiere? Step by step instructions would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Mac Os X LION – Premiere CS 5.5 Missing Project Presets

Hey

Even after uninstalling and using the creative cleaning suite tool and reinstalling premiere cs 5.5, most of the new presets such as DSLR, HDV and AVC presets are missing. I also deleted the preferences file from the hidden library folder (new finder window/go to folder:  ~/library) and re-started but no luck. Is this a MAc Lion specific problem you think ? Is there anyone who has encountered and knows how to solve this or maybe download presets files on adobe.com  ?

Thank you

Windows alternative to Apple ProRes 422?

HI

I am running CS5.5 on a HP workstation, Win 7 Pro.  I understand that I cannot use the apple prores codec as I am not on a Mac.  However, I have a client who wants footage delivered as ProRes 422.  What would people suggest as the best output option on a PC to provide the same quality?

Many thanks

.MTS files from Panasonic GH2 camera show noise artifacts

If I load .MTS media files from my Panasonic GH2 camera onto the timeline of Premiere Pro CS6 (Win7 on PC) on some footage I get a wierd noise/artifact appearing in the footage on playback and also if i render the timeline out.

The artifacts look like a ‘rain’ of digital noise appearing in certain dark areas of the footage (issue doesn’t happen on well lit scenes)

If I use Media Player Classic to play back the .MTS footage outside of PP CS6 the footage plays back 100% ok.

If I transcode the .MTS files into DNxHD format using Adobe Media Encoder the problem persists.

However ….if I transcode the .MTS files into DNxHD format using a 3rd party transcoder (5DtoRGB) the problem is resolved and the DNxHD files work 100% ok in PP CS6

It is as though both PP CS6 and also Adobe Encoder are not interpretting the .MTS file structure ok (?) and introducing artifacts.

It seems that some dev work is needed to resolve the handling of .MTS files by Adobe (?)

Can anyone please assist?

Thanks

Error: ticktime.cpp-207

I’m getting an error in Premiere Pro CS5.5. While my project is loading and the status bar at the bottom shows that a file GOPR0139.MP4 is loading a popup window opens saying Premiere Pro has encountered and error. [..\..\src\TickTime.cpp-207].  This file is in one of my project bins, however I have not placed it in the timeline yet.  After I close the error window the program doesn’t crash and I’m able to work on my project.  Following this I’ll frequently see in the status bar at the bottom an indicator bar saying Conforming GOPR0139.MP4 and GO010136.MP4.  GO010136.MP4 IS in my timeline however as I said before GOPR0139.MP4 is NOT.

Anyone know why I am getting this error and how to fix it? I’m using Premiere Pro CS5.5 on a Windows 7 machine.

Thanks!
